On July 28, 2026, the Pharmacovigilance Skills Competition of the 32nd Xiamen Employee Skills Competition came to a successful conclusion. The competition was jointly organized by the Xiamen Federation of Trade Unions, the Xiamen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, and the Xiamen Municipal Health Commission, and hosted by the Xiamen Federation of Government and Public Institution Trade Unions together with the Xiamen Center for Product Technical Evaluation and Inspection. Mr.Zhicheng Zhang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Xiamen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, attended the event and delivered remarks. Leaders from relevant units were also present to witness this grand industry event.

A total of 38 teams comprising 114 contestants from regulatory authorities, medical institutions, and pharmaceutical manufacturers enterprises across the city Xiamen competed in this fierce competition. Covering key participants across the entire pharmacovigilance chain, the competition comprehensively demonstrated the professional competence and spiritual outlook of pharmacovigilance practitioners in Xiamen.

To ensure the professionalism and authority of the competition, the organizing committee specially invited a high-level panel of judges composed of senior experts from universities, medical institutions, and provincial regulatory authorities. The competition was set up in two formats: individual and team events. The individual competition consisted of a theoretical knowledge examination and a practical skills competition; the team competition adopted the format of on-site Q&A sessions and case presentations—team organizational coordination, specialized pharmacovigilance case analysis, on-site emergency response, professional communication and expression—conducting a comprehensive and in-depth assessment of the participating teams' overall professional capabilities.

After fierce competition, our company team (members: RuiWang, Huifen Zhang, and Ling Chen), relying on their solid professional foundation and tacit teamwork, stood out among the 38 participating teams, winning Second Prize in the Team Competition and qualifying for representing Xiamen in the Fujian Provincial Pharmacovigilance Skills Competition. At the same time, contestant Ling Chen achieved the highest score and ranked first in the theoretical knowledge examination, while Huifen Zhang won the Individual Excellence Award for her overall score in the individual competition.
